Katie Stuck is a little girl who just turned 14 on Aug. 8th. She is in need of a kidney.
Katie's story was published recently in The Lewistown Sentinel, but we feel she needs a little more help than that one article will give her. Katie was born with small kidneys, and until recently it wasn't a problem. Now it is. Katie's kidneys are failing, and because of insurance reasons her family was told she is currently not on a donor list. They are currently battling with the insurance company to resolve that. Imagine having to undergo Dialysis at age 14. ( It's not fun at any age!) She just spent a month in the hospital. The family is looking for possible donors who would be willing to give one of the greatest gifts anyone could imagine. Prospective donors need to be non-smokers, age 18 to 55, and willing to get tested to see if they're a match. We would like to thank everyone who came out to the Benefit Dinner at the McClure Fire Co. on August 15th. We would also like to thank those who attended the BENEFIT CONCERT at Indian Valley H.S. on Aug. 21st. People can also donate to help defray medical costs by sending contributions to: Katie Stuck 45 Ritas Way McClure, PA. 17841 717-543-4928
